VoidCare Public Beta Usage Terms
Version 1.0 — applies to VoidCare public beta releases distributed with these terms

Copyright (c) 2026 the VoidCare copyright holders.
All rights reserved except for the permissions expressly granted below.

1. Free use of the beta
You may download, install, run and make backup copies of the official compiled
VoidCare public beta without charge, for personal use or internal business use,
on computers you own or are authorised to administer. This permission applies
to this beta version; it does not promise that future releases will be free.

2. Sharing the beta
You may share the official, unmodified beta distribution without charging for
it, provided you include these terms, its beta release notes and all third-party
notices. Do not present your distribution as a new official release, remove
beta labels, or imply endorsement by the VoidCare publisher. This permission
does not authorise selling, sublicensing or distributing modified VoidCare
binaries without separate written permission from the relevant rights holders.

3. Source code and branding
This is a proprietary freeware beta, not an open-source licence. No permission
to reuse, modify, distribute or incorporate VoidCare's own source code into
another product is granted by these terms. Source visibility alone does not
provide those permissions. VoidCare names and logos are not licensed for use
as your own branding. Rights arising under applicable law, an applicable code
hosting agreement or a separate licence remain unaffected.

4. Third-party components
Third-party software remains subject to its own licences. See
THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt and DEPENDENCIES.json. These terms do not restrict rights
granted by those licences or override their requirements. External sensor
providers and drivers are separate products, not included in this distribution.

5. Beta status and precautions
The software is pre-release and may contain defects, lack hardware support or
change in future versions. Review maintenance actions before applying them and
keep backups of important files. Permanent deletion is not recoverable through
VoidCare. Performance gains, sensor availability, ongoing support and future
updates are not guaranteed. The release notes describe known limitations.

6. Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the software is provided "as is"
and "as available", without express or implied warranties, including warranties
of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the rights holders are not liable
for loss or damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the software.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies or liability that
cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

7. Your data and feedback
These terms do not transfer ownership of your files or other data to the
publisher. Sharing diagnostic data or feedback is optional. Review and redact
reports before sending them. No additional rights in submitted source code are
assumed; agree contribution terms separately before contributing code.

Permissions beyond these terms require separate authorisation from the relevant
rights holders. No other rights are granted by implication.
